I see the event as a meeting of diversities. From the blogger who is there to cover the event and have more visibility on its website, the photographer who wants to build a good portfolio, the fashion student who shines his eyes in a meeting of new knowledge in the area to the brands that expose the result of months of work and want to have their identities well interpreted. The second day of edition 45 had Jo\u00e3o Pimenta. I’m a huge fan, because I’ve been following his work for a long time.<\/span><\/p>\n J o \u00e3 o . FOTOSITE<\/span><\/p>\n With Creative Direction by Jo\u00e3o Pimenta<\/strong> and Styling by Thiago Ferraz<\/strong>, the brand presented its new Winter 2018 collection.\u00a0This time Jo\u00e3o decided to separate his collections into male and female. He felt such a need due to an observation from his audience that he missed a more specific modeling in some pieces. The partnership with Thomaz was a great challenge because the two have a very different aesthetic of creation. FOTOSITE<\/span><\/p>\n The result was quite satisfactory. It was really a creative explosion presenting the tailoring + surfing elements to town without losing the brand identity. The streetwear formed by the union of these two great names brings pieces with very wide modeling, heavy coats and colors divided between beige, bordello and shining blue tones. The superposition dominated most of the pieces accompanied by side stripes, mainly on trousers and blazers. FOTOSITE<\/span><\/p>\n The Osklen fashion show came full of eco-friendly pieces and this time it arrived to present its sustainable basic line. Directed by Oscar Metsavaht<\/strong>, the new collection was named ASAP (As Sustainable As Possible)<\/strong>. The pieces were presented with a base made of recycled cotton, reused rubber and plastic bottle fiber mesh. Camouflaged and ounce prints in military shades serve to reinforce his activism. Each piece produced in a sustainable way could save up to 70% of energy<\/strong> and 38% of water<\/strong> compared to a traditional mesh piece. FOTOSITE<\/span><\/p>\n Hoodies and T-shirts came elongated and basically in the colours: gray, beige and black.\u00a0Among other materials used there is the organic silk knitting. Focusing on the idea of the event’s theme it is practically impossible not to fall in love with pirarucu (fish) leather shorts. It is something extremely creative the production process that Osklen does when reusing the skin of freshwater fish to be used in clothes, shoes and even bags. Fashion Week has arrived with everything and is surprising us all.
